Able is a quality coffee brewing equipment company located in Portland, Oregon. Our main inspiration for the identity and packaging were old Americana products like oil cans, machinery boxes, factory parts, bags of grain; the real simple but powerful bits of design from back then. We liked the idea of how that stuff hit you in the face with “this is exactly what’s inside, no frills”. A big thing for Able is that all of their products are made in the USA and we wanted the design to reflect that, but also have a modern twist. The envelope functions as a self-mailer and contains the coffee disk filter and an instructions card.
