"Tree Heart" iPhone Case

Collaboration with Grove

Grove is a small team of designers, programmers, and makers lead by Joe Mansfield of engrave and Ken Tomita of TomitaDesigns. They launched their bamboo iPhone cases in 2010 and invited us to be a part of their artist series. Our design is lazer cut into the bamboo iphone case and you can choose the type of wood for your case as well as the color of bezel around the top of the case. The packaging also acts as an art frame and comes with a print of the design.

Here's what Grove has to say about using bamboo: "Aside from the natural beauty and strength, bamboo is ideal for products due to its dimensional stability in comparison to wood. Bamboo is a rapidly renewable grass which is the fastest growing plant in the world and can be harvested for use in 4-6 years. It plays an increasingly important role in environmental protection by reducing our reliance on timber forests. "
